Hungarians win 1848 Hungarian revolution, Minor german states go ahead with unification without Prussian support. Italian revolutions stronger as well.

Austria annexed, Bohemia joins the "German Federation"
1868
"German Federation" morphs into "German Empire" after war with France. Italy, allied with Germany, makes gains.
1872
Bosnia is German puppet. Map at outbreak of Balkan War.
1912
Germans (and Italians) force unpopular peace as result of Balkan War, Italy gains Albania as puppet. Causes WW1 when Serbs and Bulgarians, with Russian backing, refuse peace treaty.
1913
Britain does not officially enter war but offers maximum unofficial support to France (think lend-lease)
